A Crystal Reports Tip: Coloring Every Other Line

Are you concerned about aesthetics in your reports? Did you know that, to
make a report more readable, you can color every other line
(i.e. white-gray-white-gray).
Here's how:
In design mode, right click on details on the left side of your screen.
Select, "Section Expert". Next, select the "Color" tab.
On that tab,
you will see a box labeled "Color." In that box, click on the formula
icon "X-2". The formula editor will open; type in this formula:
If Remainder (recordnumber, 2) = 0 then crteal else crsilver
You can substitute any colors you like; your choices are listed in the
formula editor.
