Calling All Hospital Leaders:
Golden's Hospital IT Systems Study

Hospitals on average spend approximately 3% of their operating budget
on IT, and a recent article in Hospitals
& Health Networks noted that the 100 most wired hospitals on
average have lower risk-adjusted mortality rates than other hospitals.
This finding suggests that IT is a crucial tool in the delivery of
"effective" patient care.
Golden's
healthcare experts have launched a survey campaign to understand
how quickly hospitals are adopting both new
clinical IT systems (such as EMR and CPOE) and management information
systems (such as data warehouses &
marts, and ad hoc query reporting and performance dash boarding). This
survey examines current IT systems & vendors; IT organizational
culture; data analysis, reporting & monitoring; data needs, and IT
management issues.
Do you have extensive knowledge of your hospital's IT
systems? We invite you to be a part of this ground-breaking study and
complete this 10-15 minute survey. In return, you'll receive the eventual campaign
results as a whitepaper. This report will allow you to benchmark
your hospital against other hospitals in terms of its investment in and the
sophistication of its IT systems — and gain insight into
your organization's strategic market positioning. In addition, Golden will
send you a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card to thank you for your
participation.

A Crystal Reports Tip: Easier Percent Calculations

If your reports include a lot of percent calculations, do you find it overly
cumbersome to calculate the percent by dividing and then multiplying by 100?
Here's a tip to speed things along:
Streamline the calculation by using a percent sign (%) instead of a
division sign (/) when dividing the two fields. This change will eliminate
the need to multiply by 100.
Example:
{Financials.Account Receivable}%{Financials.Accounts Payable}
