Introduction to TSO/ISPF

Audience

Programmers, production control specialists, end users who are new to the TSO/ISPF environment and who need to be able to use its facilities to access data and run jobs on the mainframe.

Prerequisites

Basic computer literacy. Familiarity with the IBM mainframe environment is helpful.

Overview

This course is designed for students who have had little or no exposure to TSO/ISPF and who need to become familiar with the basic functions of TSO/ISPF – Edit, Browse, Utilities. It gives the student the tools to navigate in ISPF, including managing data sets, editing data, running jobs and looking at their output. Hands-on workshops give the student time to practice the commands learned in class.
